Some Thoughts Before Time Ticks Away

Some Thoughts Before Time Ticks Away

It has been a while since I penned down my thoughts or happen to share them although it makes no sense ultimately. Yet, the sun dawns and dusks; the moon rhymes it all over again, and it all goes round and round. They never ceased to amaze nor do we know what would happen if they cease to exist abruptly. But we do know one thing for sure; when everything ceases; when there’s a total blackout; when the birds don’t sing to the rising sun, and when the stars don’t dance to the pats of the moon; when there is no love or hatred; when there is no rich or poor; when there is respect or disrespect; when there is no inferiority nor superiority; (I leave you empty blanks here to fill it with whatever your hearts may not be content with); And the one thing we all know and admit for sure is that time is ticking and our end is coming. We just don’t know when!

Yes, none of this makes sense. Yet, we run a race in this world to compete with one another, treat others unfairly, bully the helpless and the poor, disrespect one another, live a life of hypocrisy, disseminate misinformation, misunderstand beautiful relationships, etc.

That is why He said in the Book of John, Chapter 16, Verse 33:
“I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Isn’t it clearly evident that this world we live in comes with tribulation where are given the power and wisdom to overcome it? But why do we not hesitate to be a contributor? Why do we make it hard for others?
And then He says in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 6, Verse 34:
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
Isn’t it precise even for a layman to understand? Why be the contributor when you can be the example of whom He is given the promise of eternity when you comply?

Many things don’t literally make sense in this world and we hear it from NEWS and in our personal lives.
  • A president inciting an insurrection because he is a loser and doesn’t want to admit it. So leverages his power to mislead the civilians thus contributing to civil unrest.
  • A prime minister who takes decisions that defies the meaning of democracy.
  • A president who violates the human rights of the Uighurs and flexes their muscles at the neighbor’s borders.
  • A façade that lost its base thus revealing what’s underneath itself in limelight, though it was clearly evident as it was built on hypocrisy.
Yes, it makes no sense.

But look at what He does as per the Book of Matthew, Chapter 5, Verse 45:
“In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.”
He inevitably sees everyone the same way; whether you are rich or poor; whether you love or hate; whether you curse or bless; whether you gossip or cheer; whether you motivate or demotivate; whether you respect or disrespect; whether you are wise or a fool.

See, it makes no sense after all, doesn’t it? Because we just don’t see and admit the way He sees you and me. Here’s how it makes sense as per the Book of 1 Samuel, Chapter 16, Verse 7:
“But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
How have you been looking at someone all these days? I don’t know. But He knows. Do you know that He knows? Or is it just a bunch of lines that we are made to believe for the sake of our very existence, though, the clock does its meaningless ticks? When you sit for a moment and think, was all that I ever did even meaningful?

Now here’s the real deal that I have seen people do. And someone would say, ‘Come on, give it a break! That’s the way of life! You have just been too naïve to see it!’

Well, I have seen people praise His name; worship Him day and night; shed tears with an open hand; and yet spews hatred and contempt at His very creation thus defying His clearly stated 10 simple commandments.

Does that make any sense?

Isn’t that a heightened level of hypocrisy that we see in our community? Cursing and spewing hatred every other day and time and going to Church makes you immune to His lashes that are waiting when the clock finally stops ticking? Nobody is immune to what’s on His watch.

Nobody!

The Book of Proverbs has always been a motivation as it is filled with wisdom. Every event that happens around this small world can be easily correlated with that of those in the Proverbs. And the most ignored verse is from Chapter 16, Verse 2:
“All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the Lord weighs the motives.”
And this is why everyone thinks they are right. Does it make any sense to be like that after knowing the Truth? If it does then it’s not late as long as the clock ticks to have a renewed thinking!

And guess what is the biggest hypocrisy ever? It is the “The Lord’s Prayer” that we recite every Sunday and any other day when you spent your time in His presence. And the key line is this:
“And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us.”
I am not very sure about how people look at it. Do they think it is a joke? That their sins and wrongdoings are expected to be forgiven by Him, but won’t give a damn about what others do unto them? There is a serious misconception here.

Does that even make sense to completely neglect the very essence of those beautiful lines? And yet we label ourselves as His followers.

I have heard this meaningless statement to learn many verses as if God will interview you when your clock stops ticking as to how many verses you know and how many you tend to recite. Really?

Makes any sense?

If you know one Word of His and if you believe in it and if you “ACT ON IT”, then there is nothing more powerful than His shield to lead you through the tribulations that the world has to offer you.

The Book of Hebrews, Chapter 11, Verse 6 clearly states it well for a layman to understand:
“And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Makes any sense when you blindingly mug up some lines without belief. If you have the belief, then you’d know if you are “earnestly seek Him”.

Another meaningless thing I have seen is people chasing money. No, money is very much needed, but if it is driven by greed to have more without being satisfied with what you have is a concern with mental abilities.

He has already stated this clearly in the book of Hebrews, Chapter 13, Verse 5: Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said,
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Then why does a brain that was designed to think wisely chase money and respect those who own money? For nobody knows how it’d disappear in a fraction of a second is this temporary world where we can hold nothing for ourselves.

A great leader once held a famed garden, but she doesn’t exist anymore to cherish it. Still, makes any sense to chase for the temporary?

So, what makes sense?

By unifying with Him as stated in the Book of Ephesians, Chapter 4, Verses 4 to 7:
“I, therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift.”
An adamance to hold on to the wrongdoings and trying to justify the wrongs does not make it right.

Having a heart of hatred and yet preaching His words is a heightened level of hypocrisy.
With no value for humility, there is not going to be a heart that humbles itself even when He calls.

Verses to conclude with:

Book of Titus, Chapter 2, Verse 7:
“Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity,”
Book of Matthew, Chapter 7, Verse 12:
“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”
Book of Proverbs, Chapter 17, Verse 28:
“Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.”
Book of Matthew, Chapter 5, Verse 8:
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
As long as we breathe, we are sinners in this tribulated world. But His grace is sufficient for you and me.

In this small world, let your minds not be small, for the galaxy is His creation thus proving the power of His mind, the mind we are expected to respect and praise, and not abolish with petty excuses!
